Recently, my boyfriend and I have decided to start the Insanity workout. For those of you who do not know, the Insanity workout is just what it is called: insane! We will not be starting until next Monday but we did go shopping for healthy groceries so we can get a head start on the eating right aspect. As we progress I will update everyone on how we are doing with our “insane” workout routine.
Lately I have been busy working on numerous things. Last week I had to prepare a letter for the Fundred campaign that will be presented to organization leaders around Western’s campus. The purpose of the letter is to present our student competition and to gain involvement from students. This was the first big thing I have had to work on with this campaign, and I was not nervous at all as I tackled it. I sent the finished product to my account executive before our meeting and she informed me that I did a great job, which I was glad to hear. At our meeting we decided who would speak to what organization leader by our next meeting which is tomorrow. We also completed the research part of the ROPE process which is great.
The Good Samaritan Clinic campaign is coming along as well. The team I am working on this with is still putting together our research paper, but hopefully we will have that completed by our meeting tomorrow. The account executive I have for this campaign is the same one I have for the Fundred campaign. She asked me if I would be interested in writing a press release for the clinic discussing how their recent fund-raising event turned out. This is my first press release so I am very excited to have the opportunity to do it. This summer I may actually be interning with the Good Samaritan Clinic and I am very excited to see how everything plays out. Even if I am unable to intern, I will be volunteering throughout the summer to help them prepare for their Fall fundraiser.
One last thing before I sign off for the night: the PR Real World Conference is this Friday, February 18th, in Atlanta. I have been looking forward to this conference for over a month and it is finally here! I will definitely be posting about my experience and everything I learn after the conference. Be on the lookout for my next post.
