First off, thank you for visiting my website.
My name is Ashley Funderburk and I am a Communications- Public Relations major and Hospitality and Tourism minor at Western Carolina University. You can read more about me here.
This is my professional site and it is dedicated to sharing my thoughts and viewpoints, as a student, on topics related to public relations. While I have a huge focus on social media, I also discuss the traditional side of PR as well. I am always welcome to having guest bloggers, so if you would like to write a post for me send me your idea! You can read my blog entries here.
If you would like to see the work that I have done as a student, you can view my resume here and my portfolio here. These are always a work in progress.
Now for a little history lesson, but nothing boring, I promise!
I started this blog on January 30, 2010 and bought my very first domain name to turn my blog into my website on January 28, 2011. For me, this was a huge step and has really motivated me to make monthly goals for my website and to fully utilize it. Along with these monthly goals, I have been working on a plan that will keep me on top of updating my site so I do not slack off.
The title of my blog, For the Love of PR, has been the same since day one. The reason I started this website was so I could take the lessons I was learning in class and add my own personal opinions to them to share with whoever came across my blog. Since then, and keep in mind that was only a little more than a year ago, I have discovered how to share my blog with other PR students, and even professionals. This project has come a long way, and I am looking forward to see where it is in another year.
If you would like to contact me, you can do so by reaching out to me on any of the social media platforms I am present on, or by email. You can find all of this information here.
Feedback is always welcome. My website is constantly a work in progress, so if there is anything you would like to see, let me know!
Once again, I appreciate you for taking the time to see what my website is all about! I would also like to take this time to send a very special thank to each of the following individuals who inspire and motivate me to do great things: Beth, Amanda, Deirdre, Valerie, Harrison and Dr. Farmer. Thank you for everything you do!
